What techniques do you use to prepare yourself for a presentation?

 

 

  • Know your content

  • Rehearse

  • Practice in front of others

  • Time your presentation

  • Only key points/reminders on slides

  • Tell myself I am going to kill this presentation or "I can't wait to show people what I've come up with"

 

 

What are some things we need to be mindful of when presenting?

 

 

 

  • Articulate our words

  • Speak slowly

  • Don't be afraid to pause (dramatic moment or to give people time to comprehend)
